Greenfield Foundation

According to the World Bank, the Earth's surface temperature has risen by about 1 degree Fahrenheit in the past century, with accelerated warming during the past two decades....One fifth of the world’s population is threatened by the impacts of global desertification. Its effects can be seen all over the world, be it in Asia, the Sahel, Latin America, throughout North America or along the Mediterranean. Today, a third of the earth's surface is threatened by desertification, which adds up to an area of over 4 billion hectares of the planet.....Rising global temperatures are expected to raise sea level, and change precipitation and other local climate conditions.... Changing regional climate could alter forests, crop yields, and water supplies.... It has created severa drought conditions....It could also affect human health, animals, and many types of ecosystems.... Deserts may expand into existing rangelands, and features of some of our National Parks and Forests may be permanently altered....

Our Mission.

Combating Starvation and Deforestation Worldwide...
